Egg box profile is a highly modified flexible open-cell polyurethane foam which has been profiled to enhance its acoustic properties. This specialised acoustic foam is particularly effective at absorbing problematic low frequencies, while also achieving the highest fire resistance rating for a flexible acoustic foam.
The Egg box profile is a non-toxic product that does not produce dust or particles, even when exposed to high-speed airflow. It has been tested at 10000 fpm for 4 hours and has passed the ASTM C1071-05 12.7 test. This makes it perfect for use in building ventilation and HVAC systems. It is also treated with anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agents, making it resistant to most types of bacteria and fungi. It has passed the ASTM D-2020-92 test for mildew (fungus) resistance.
Egg box profile is commonly used as acoustic tiles in recording and media rooms.
